Iguanas Mexican Restaurant

Only gave them 4 stars because we didn't actually eat in. We had ours to go. Ate here on the suggestion of a family member we were visiting. The food dips and salsa were all delicious. We will be back next time we visit.

Goat cheese I usually can't stand, but this was light and delicious. Service was great, food prep quick, portions on point, and cost felt appropriate. Lunch taco had that perfect orange yellow grease, so you knew it would be fire. Absolutely recommend to anyone in the area.

The portions you get are definitely worth the price they charge. Not over priced.

Never been here before. They were actually pretty good. The cheese dip was too spicy for me but I don't do much spice anyway. It had a great flavor. Their chips were awesome and so fresh. They were short staffed but we didn't have to wait very long at all. We would definitely go back.

TL;DR although the restaurant itself looks slightly worse for wear, to food is good. We stopped by after a hike at Village Creek State Park and absolutely loved the food here. The salsa was apparently spicy (per other members of my party) but I couldn't taste any significant spice. It was good, but fell short of being my favorite salsa. The chips are the thicker variety. I prefer them to the thinner restaurant style tortilla chips some places serve. I had the Ranchero Especial (Ranchero Special). It was very good. The cheese/rice had a hint of spice to it, the onions and bell peppers were perfectly cooked, and the chicken was so tender it almost didn't need to be chewed. My wife had a quesadilla and instead of serving a single tortilla folded with chicken/cheese/steak in the middle, she got two tortillas cut in fourths like a pizza. She said it tasted different from the usual fair, but delicious nonetheless. One member of our party said that the chick, cheese and rice was too spicy, but no one else noticed any spiciness in that dish so your experience may differ. I'm excited by a couple menu items and will be making this a regular stop on our hiking trips south of Jonesboro, AR.

This was the best service we have had in 3 years! We moved to Arkansas November 2019, the staff was great the food was phenomenal and the beer was ice-cold and the frosty mug was a nice touch.... we will tell everyone we meet about this place and most definitely be back
